Quality Assurance Specialist for Cloud Infrastructure

We seek an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) professional to join our team of cloud software experts. As a QA Engineer, you will work collaboratively with product managers, business owners, and developers to ensure the highest quality standards in our software products.

In this role, you will analyze and make recommendations to improve the quality of our cloud services and applications across our ecosystem. This includes designing and implementing automated tests, reviewing code, and providing feedback to the development team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the complete end-to-end testing of our cloud-based systems
  • Design high-quality test cases that improve the overall quality of our system
  • Collaborate with the development team to design and review test cases, provide feedback, and add manual and automated tests on APIs, databases, and UI layers
  • Be the gatekeeper of quality for our products, defining and executing non-functional tests and analyzing results
  • Debug issues and help developers design the best software products
  • Drive quality metrics for our systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards
  • Analyze test progress and report to management on a daily basis
  • Improvise test case designs, negative testing, repeatability testing, data validation, impact, and risk-based testing

Requirements:

  • BE/BTech in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in software development/testing
  • 5+ years of experience testing high-scale applications with distributed architecture
  • Excellent programming skills and ability to debug issues at the code level; development experience is an added advantage
  • Experience in negative testing
  • Strong understanding of cloud, databases, and performance tradeoffs
  • Go-getter attitude and capable of pursuing tough engineering challenges to final solutions
  • Lean/Agile attitude
  • Proactive and results-oriented
  • Team player/builder with a can-do attitude
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in providing estimates, plans, and committed deliverables
  • Strong technical and leadership skills: decisive, determined, strategic, and able to lead, motivate, and inspire others
  • Experience as a software technical lead/architect with cloud and digital SW is a plus
  • Knowledge of data analytics and machine learning are a plus
