Job Description

As a key member of our Cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing SIEM use cases to detect specific types of security threats. You will work closely with security teams to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable intelligence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, implementing, and testing SIEM use cases to enhance detection accuracy and reduce false positives.
  • Developing and implementing SIEM rules and correlation logic to detect security incidents.
  • Continuously optimising use cases to improve performance and effectiveness.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including SOC analysts, incident responders, and IT teams, to ensure use cases meet their needs.
  • Working closely with SIEM vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement new features.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Proficiency in proposed SOAR and SIEM solutions.
  • Experience in configuring, managing, and optimising SOAR and SIEM platforms.
  • Strong skills in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript) for developing automation scripts.
  • Experience in writing and maintaining scripts to automate security tasks and processes.
  • Experience in utilising RESTful APIs to enable communication between different security tools.
