We are seeking a skilled Senior Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will have expertise in building and scaling modern financial data platforms using Snowflake, dbt, and other tools.

Key responsibilities include developing and optimizing data warehouse solutions, designing and implementing data pipelines, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving business problems through technical solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Snowflake Data Engineering: Design and develop high-performance data warehouse solutions in Snowflake, ensuring scalability and reliability for finance and accounting workloads.
  • dbt Development: Build and maintain robust dbt models and transformations that enable clean, governed, and auditable financial data flows.
  • Financial Systems Integration: Implement secure data pipelines that source from ERP and finance systems to support revenue recognition, reconciliations, and accounting processes.
  • ETL/ELT Pipelines: Develop reliable data pipelines and workflows using Snowflake, dbt, and other tools, ensuring seamless data integration and exchange.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Finance and Accounting partners to translate business requirements into technical designs and data solutions, driving cross-functional collaboration and partnership.
  • Data Quality & Compliance: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability of financial data to support audit and compliance requirements, upholding the highest standards of quality and integrity.
  • Team Contribution: Participate actively in agile engineering environments, contributing to code reviews, sprint planning, and continuous improvement of engineering practices, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior engineers, share best practices for Snowflake and dbt usage within the team, and drive knowledge transfer across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform roles, preferably with financial systems.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing, performance tuning, and secure data sharing.
  • 2+ years of dbt experience (building models, transformations, testing, and documentation).
  • Strong SQL development skills with focus on efficiency and maintainability.
  • Experience working with financial or accounting data, translating business requirements into data pipelines.
  • Understanding of accounting concepts (e.g., revenue recognition, double-entry principles) and ability to partner with Finance/Accounting teams.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows (Git, GitHub, GitLab, or similar).

Must Have Skills:

  • Snowflake,

  • Data Engineering / Building Data Pipelines, dbt (preferred), Financial Systems

Nice To Have:

  • Familiarity with Snowflake utilities (Snowpipes, Streams, Tasks).
  • Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Exposure to data governance and compliance requirements in financial reporting.
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation.
  • Interest in financial forecasting, predictive analytics, or ML as applied to Finance.
