Job Title: Senior Ecommerce Director

The successful candidate will drive ecommerce growth across direct-to-consumer channels, marketplaces, offline sales, and emerging platforms. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for setting ambitious revenue, margin, and cost targets.

This role involves developing and executing comprehensive strategies to achieve business objectives. You will lead cross-functional teams in crafting product-market fit, localizing hero SKUs, and creating new-product roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecast demand, manage end-to-end inventory, and ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to adapt formulations for regional regulations and consumer preferences.
  • Develop 360° marketing strategies, allocating budgets for maximum return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Establish data pipelines and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), including repeat rates, marketplace rankings, and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and payment partners to optimize landed costs and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage high-performing teams across growth, operations, customer success, retail, and trade functions.
  • Champion customer-centric initiatives, leveraging voice of the customer (VOC) insights to inform product updates and customer experience enhancements.
  • Forge strategic partnerships with wellness chains, tourism boards, and Ayurveda clinics to expand reach and enhance brand visibility.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including cosmetics claims, import duties, and data protection laws.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree from a top-tier institution.
  • 10-17 years of relevant work experience in retail or ecommerce, preferably in leadership roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in data analysis and reporting.
  • Proven ability to drive results, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through on commitments.
