Job Summary

As a Storage Administrator, you will be responsible for designing and implementing storage systems, including procurement, installation, configuration, software upgrades, and provisioning. You will also be responsible for adding disk shelves to existing storage for standalone and high-availability controllers, configuring and managing DR replications via snapmirror, and managing vfilers, fiber interconnect switches, storage reporting and monitoring tools.

  • Design and implement storage systems, including procurement, installation, configuration, software upgrades, and provisioning.
  • Add disk shelves to the existing storage for standalone and High availability controllers.
  • Extensive experience in configuring and managing DR replications via snapmirror.
  • Extensive experience in managing vfilers, fiber interconnect switches, storage reporting and monitoring tools.
  • Provide operational support to file serving/NAS infrastructure within the organization, planning and implementing data migrations (typically using Robocopy).
  • Experience using an operational ticketing system to record changes and work history details.
  • Handle Disk, Aggregate, Qtree, Volume issues.
  • Check storage critical events.
  • Responsible for day-to-day storage tasks and changes and incidents in storage.
  • Experience and knowledge of enterprise process mapping tools and techniques, as well as industry good practice frameworks such as ITIL, Agile.

Requirements

  • Must have hands-on experience on NetApp, Hitachi.
  • Strong technical skills and in-depth understanding of CMODE and CDOT & fabric switches.
  • Significant experience in software tools from NetApp (OCUM, OCI etc).
  • Excellent understanding of CIFS - NFS technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of enterprise process mapping tools and techniques, as well as industry good practice frameworks such as ITIL, Agile.
