Job Title: Ambassador of Commercial Excellence

The Legal Contracts Negotiator plays a pivotal role in supporting the legal function by streamlining legal review of commercial agreements and increasing efficiency for revenue/sales. This dynamic professional drafter and negotiator is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maintain accurate and compliant contract records, while fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate terms and conditions for various agreements according to internal guidelines, ensuring seamless execution and minimizing potential disputes.

  • Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself, utilizing effective communication and conflict resolution skills.

  • Develop and articulate creative solutions and draft alternative terms, working closely with attorneys within the Legal team to drive business growth and strategic partnerships.

  • Obtain approval for non-standard terms in accordance with internal policies, ensuring compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Educate internal teams to promote conformity and consistency in contract terms and legal obligations, enhancing overall contract management capabilities.

  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of Legal administrative processes and legal documents, driving process improvements and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Law, Business Administration, or related field, with 4-6 years' experience negotiating legal terms & conditions with customers or vendors.

  • Training or education in law, paralegal skills, negotiation, or legal writing, including IAACM or similar certification required.

  • Familiarity with media organizations desirable.

  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English.

  • Experience working with commercial contract management and understanding of contract and commercial law.

  • Ability to manage complex issues, apply legal, financial, and business principles to contracting, and make informed decisions.

  • Adept in use of digital tools, document systems, and MS Office.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
