Job Title: Senior Big Data Engineer
">We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Big Data Engineer to join our team.
">About the Role:
">This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead the development of large-scale data processing systems using Apache Spark, Python and AWS services.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark and AWS Glue.
">- Develop high-performance applications in PySpark and AWS Lambda.
">- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data processing systems with other components of the architecture.
">Required Skills and Qualifications:
">- 5+ years of overall IT experience, including hands-on experience in Big Data technologies.
">- Strong experience in Python, PySpark, AWS services such as S3, EMR, Athena and Redshift.
">- Experience with version control tools like Git.
">- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, including dimensions, facts and schemas.
">Desirable Skills:
">- Knowledge of columnar storage formats such as Parquet and Avro.
">- Familiarity with compression techniques such as Snappy and Gzip.
">- Experience with AWS databases such as Aurora, RDS and DynamoDB.
