Job Title: VMware Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Designing and deploying resilient and high-performance infrastructure solutions in internal and public clouds.
  2. Maintaining production services in operational condition 24/7.
  3. Providing level 3 technical support as a technical expert with the following objectives: Train / Document / Automate / Improve.
  4. Collaborating with global teams to define strategy and ensure global alignment.
  5. Managing, monitoring and leading technical projects independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Development:
    • Lead, mentor and develop a team of professionals to achieve technical and operational excellence.
    • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and innovation.
    • Supervise the maintenance, configuration, and optimization of systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
    • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and outages.
    • Identify and address training and development needs, facilitating growth opportunities for team members.
    • Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance expectations for team members.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership for operational improvements.
  • Direct Responsibilities:
    • Provide expert support for VMware virtualization in order to maintain the Production IT environment in operational conditions.
    • Automate and industrialize technical solutions to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
    • Ensure compliance with security policies at all times.
    • Work closely with global teams to ensure overall alignment.
    • Design products and services around the cloud by preparing product specifications and managing the lifecycle.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging digital technologies and innovations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in VMware administration.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages.
  • Strong understanding of people management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
