Job Overview

This role is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of laboratory processes, overseeing analytical testing methods, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry or a related field, excellent project management skills, and experience with advanced analytical equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Validate test results and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee quality, accuracy, and efficiency in all laboratory processes.
  • Implement routine testing methods for food, crops, feed, and ingredients using analytical, microbial, and chemical techniques.
  • Monitor laboratory processes closely to prevent deviations from SOPs and maintain ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation requirements.
  • Develop and maintain the analytical lab quality system, including SOPs (APMs), ingredient specifications, and related documentation.
  • Enhance testing techniques to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scope of services, adding value for stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • PhD or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • Over 10 years of experience in FMCG, commercial testing laboratories, or nodal laboratories handling testing and calibration services.
  • Strong project management skills, with proven track record in planning, executing, controlling, and closing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Hands-on expertise with advanced analytical platforms such as GC, GC-MS, LC, LC-MS, ICP-MS; strong skills in qualitative and quantitative analysis of objectionable compounds, elemental analysis, flavor compounds, and pesticide residues.
