Job Title: Port Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Port Infrastructure Specialist to lead our port and marine infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of conducting detailed surveys for port and coastal development projects.

The selected individual will be responsible for conducting bathymetric surveys, including depth measurement, sub-bottom profiling, and current measurements. They will also plan and execute hydrographic survey work, ensuring accurate data collection for design, construction, and environmental assessments of marine and port infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct bathymetric surveys, including depth measurement, sub-bottom profiling, and current measurements.
  • Plan and execute hydrographic survey work, ensuring accurate data collection for design, construction, and environmental assessments.
  • Perform data analysis and generate reports, maps, and charts for stakeholders.
  • Operate and maintain advanced hydrographic survey equipment.
  • Work closely with engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers to integrate survey data into port development plans and coastal protection strategies.
  • Ensure all survey work meets industry standards, accuracy requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Over 10 years of experience in hydrographic surveying, particularly in port and coastal infrastructure projects.
  • Survey Recorder Class I or Class II qualification (mandatory).
  • Extensive knowledge of surveying methods used for port development, bathymetric surveys, and marine geospatial analysis.
  • Proficiency in hydrographic software such as CARIS, HYPACK, and GIS for data analysis and mapping.
  • Experience with multibeam sonar, single-beam echo sounders, and other specialized survey equipment.
  • Solid understanding of marine and coastal environments, including tidal variations, water depths, and seabed topography.
  • Excellent analytical skills to ensure precise data collection and interpretation.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an office setting.
  • Strong communication skills to produce clear and concise reports for project stakeholders.
