System Automation Specialist

About this role:

We are seeking a highly skilled System Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will design and implement automated patch remediation for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems.

You will develop and maintain scripts for compliance enforcement, schedule and deploy OS and application patches in a staged and controlled manner, and integrate patch management with enterprise dashboards and reporting tools.

Apart from these technical responsibilities, you will also be involved in integrating with enterprise tools: SIEM, ITSM, LDAP, PIM/PAM, Red Hat IPA/Satellite. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, generate audit-ready reports and dashboards for patch status and vulnerability closure.

In addition, you will perform real-time monitoring of patch management systems for uptime and performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure minimal disruption during remediation cycles, and perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Maintaining detailed SOPs, deployment guides, and compliance documentation is also an essential part of your role. You will provide training and knowledge transfer to team members, and support statutory compliance reporting.

We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in Linux system administration and automation. A proven experience in enterprise patch management and compliance frameworks is required.

The ideal candidate should have advanced proficiency in RHEL, strong scripting skills: Bash, Python, YAML, experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Red Hat Satellite), and familiarity with integration protocols: SNMP, WinRM, SSH.
