Job Overview

As a Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining databases that meet the organization's performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement database architectures to ensure high performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain complex database systems, including data modeling, schema design, and query optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-performance database functionalities and resolve database performance issues.
Primary Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in MySQL Enterprise Versions Products, including upgrades and patch application.
  • Hands-on experience with migration from MySQL to MariaDB and vice versa.
  • Strong understanding of MySQL Enterprise backups and logical backups (mysqldump/mysqlpump).
  • Knowledge of InnoDB Cluster and Master-Slave replication configurations and troubleshooting.
  • Extensive exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) to provide solutions and troubleshoot issues.
Secondary Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of MariaDB and NoSQL databases is an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of data management, including permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring.
  • Ensuring all database programs meet organization and performance requirements.
  • User management, space management, and shell scripting.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

This role requires the ability to analyze complex problems, design creative solutions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
