Senior Assurance Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Assurance Associate to join our team. As a Senior Assurance Associate, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality audit services to our clients.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in accounting and auditing, with experience working in an accounting and audit related field specifically NFP industry. You will be responsible for performing audit procedures and tests in accordance with our audit methodology based overall audit plan, ensuring proper documentation of work performed. Additionally, you will identify areas of risk and accounting and auditing issues; discuss with engagement teams to solve issues that arise.

You will also research technical accounting issues, develop industry expertise, prepare audit reports, and management letters. Furthermore, you will exercise professional skepticism, judgment, and adhere to the code of ethics while on engagements. Ensuring that documentation is compliant with quality standards of the firm is also a key responsibility.

Apart from these responsibilities, you will work collaboratively as a part of the team and communicate effectively with RSM audit professionals. Providing supervision and development training for associates, taking ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables to ensure service excellence through prompt responses to internal and external clients are also key aspects of this role.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Semi Qualified ACCA/CPA
  • Qualified CA/ACCA/Licensed CPA
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience working in an accounting and audit related field specifically NFP industry.
  • Strong technical skills in accounting including IFRS or GAAP and GAAS
  • Strong Data Analytical skills including advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas), Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong multi-tasking and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication (English) as the position requires frequent communications with RSM International clients and the United States based engagement teams
