Compensation Specialist Role

Job Description:

A challenging opportunity exists for a Compensation Specialist to join our Finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and administering timely, accurate, and efficient processing of payroll operations.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of multi-state taxation, tax payments/deposits, and year-end reporting (W-2, W-2c, etc) as well as federal and state regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential in this role.

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely is crucial in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer timely, accurate, and efficient processing of payroll operations
  • Analyze and reconcile payroll activity, identifying possible issues and making recommendations
  • Work closely with the Payroll/Expense/Accounts Payable team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to provide exceptional customer service
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in payroll or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state taxation, tax payments/deposits, and year-end reporting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
