Job Summary

  • This role oversees main sections of the kitchen, ensuring seamless food production and maintaining high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and supervises a team of chefs, coordinating tasks and activities to meet production goals.
  • Ensures accurate food requisitions, controls inventory levels, and optimizes resource allocation.
  • Monitors staff performance, evaluates work procedures, and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Maintains excellent communication with colleagues, senior officers, and corporate teams.

Financial Management

  • Responsible for managing resources effectively, adhering to company protocols, and minimizing waste.
  • Analyzes operational data, establishes controls, and recommends expense reductions.
  • Reviews timesheets, forwards them to management for approval, and ensures timely submissions.

Qualifications and Education

  • A minimum of 8 years in an upscale hotel, resort, or convention service, with at least 2 years as Chef de Partie.
  • Culinary school degree required; strong management skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior customer service, teambuilding, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Intermediate computer software skills and knowledge of basic accounting principles.
