Key Responsibilities
  • We are seeking a skilled backend developer who can design, develop, and maintain scalable services using FastAPI and Django.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience building and deploying microservices from scratch, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • They should be able to decide and implement the right storage solutions (SQL vs. NoSQL) depending on use case.
  • Additionally, they should optimize server performance, focusing on low latency and high throughput.
  • Monitoring, logging, and debugging strategies with industry-standard tools are also essential.
  • Asynchronous programming and understanding Python's internals, including the GIL, are required skills.
  • Collaboration with frontend teams and contributing when needed is a plus.
  • Ensuring clean, maintainable, and test-driven code with proper documentation is crucial.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional backend development experience with FastAPI and Django.
  • Proven experience building and scaling microservices architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming and Python internals.
  • Deep understanding of database design, including when to use relational vs. non-relational DBs.
  • Hands-on experience in server optimization, performance tuning, and profiling.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and debugging tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to occasionally contribute to frontend development.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container tools.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms.
  • Contributions to open-source or side projects showcasing backend expertise.
