As a specialist in oncology medication access, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely processing of prescriptions for patients requiring critical treatments. Your primary responsibility will be to manage electronic prior authorizations through our platform, collaborating closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and specialty pharmacies to streamline access to life-saving medications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process electronic prior authorizations for oncology medications via our platform.
  • Review clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy before submission to payers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve prior authorization and reimbursement issues.
  • Monitor and track prior authorization requests for timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Educate healthcare providers on our processes and payer requirements.
  • Stay updated on the latest oncology drug access pathways, insurance policies, and payer-specific rules.
  • Accurately document case activities in CRM systems.
  • Support patient access initiatives by working collaboratively with internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, pharmacy, life sciences, or a related field (preferred).
  • At least 2 years of experience using our platform for prior authorization processing.
  • Strong background in oncology medication access, reimbursement, or patient services.
  • Familiarity with specialty pharmacy operations and payer requirements.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with oncology patient support programs.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification, appeals, and reimbursement landscape.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
