About the Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be a key member of our data engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and operating data warehouses and data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop data pipelines and architectures using various technologies such as Python, SQL, and distributed computing frameworks like Spark.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design data solutions that meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure seamless integration of data systems and services.
  • Tune databases and SQL queries to optimize performance and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in software development methods, including Agile/Scrum.
  • Experience with cloud providers like AWS, containerization, and container orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with data warehouses and ETL tools.
  • Good understanding of routing, switching, and basic network communication protocols.
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering or equivalent technical background and experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with DevOps and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible.
  • Knowledge of small- to mid-sized software development projects.
  • Understanding of Agile Scrum methodology.
