Job Overview

The ACME Group seeks a seasoned Senior Renewable Energy Project Lead to oversee the successful delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects from initial concept to operational handover. This key role requires a project management expert with extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary projects, ensuring alignment of project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Strategy
    • Develop comprehensive project plans for renewable energy projects, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget forecasts.
    • Identify key project milestones and deliverables.
    • Assist in feasibility studies, resource assessments, and risk analysis.
    • Define project scope, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Project Execution and Monitoring
    • Oversee the day-to-day management of project activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
    • Monitor the progress of ongoing projects and identify potential risks or issues that may arise.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, legal, etc.) to ensure timely execution.
    • Implement project management best practices and tools, including Agile or PMP standards.
    • Conduct regular site visits to assess the progress of construction or installation activities.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact between ACME Group, clients, contractors, and other external stakeholders.
    • Prepare and present regular project updates, including status reports, budget updates, and timelines.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns in a timely manner.
    • Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Quality and Risk Management
    • Ensure all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and specifications.
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with each project phase.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Implement corrective actions as needed to resolve any quality or safety issues that arise.
  • Financial Oversight and Reporting
    • Manage and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost control and alignment with financial goals.
    • Review and approve contractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
    • Track and report on financial performance, including variances in cost and resource utilization.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
    • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
    • Provide training and guidance to junior project managers and team members.
  • Post-Project Handover
    • Oversee the successful commissioning and operational handover of projects to clients or internal teams.
    • Ensure project documentation is complete and accurate, including design plans, as-built documents, and operations manuals.
    • Assist in the transition of projects to operations and maintenance teams.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, etc.) or a related field.
    • Minimum 5-12 years of experience in project management in the renewable energy industry.
    • Proven experience managing large-scale renewable energy projects from initiation to completion.
