High-Level Software Quality Assurance Specialist

State Street is seeking a skilled Functional Test Engineer to join our team.

As a key member of our cross-functional Agile teams, you will collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions for the Financial Services domain.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive test plans, test cases, test data, and other SQA artifacts to ensure thorough testing of software applications.
  • Executing integration, system, regression, compatibility, and user acceptance testing phases to identify defects and ensure seamless application performance.
  • Participating in daily Agile standups, iteration planning, product demos, and application walkthroughs to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Maintaining and tracking test deliverables in our test management tool to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Expertly executing test scripts via automation tools, such as UTP and Selenium, to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborating with business and development teams to clarify requirements and ensure smooth delivery of work items without ambiguity.
  • Serving as a key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases and support to provide expert guidance and assistance.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Capital Markets domain experience to understand complex financial systems and requirements.
  • Functional and Application Testing experience to develop and maintain comprehensive testing strategies.
  • Knowledge of SQL queries to design and execute efficient database testing.
  • Strong Practical experience using Scrum, Agile modeling, and adaptive software development methodologies to drive collaborative project management.
  • Experience working with Test Management Tools, such as RTC and Jira, to track and manage testing activities.

PREFERRED SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Knowledge of UTP and Selenium automation tools to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Scripting languages like VB scripting and JavaScripting to create custom testing solutions.
