Internal Audit Manager Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive audit plans for the financial year, including checklists and process flowcharts. Communicate with process owners before commencing and participate in process understanding meetings.
  • Conduct thorough analyses and audits in line with the approved plan. Prepare draft reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Execute individual or group audits as defined in the plan, ensuring exceptional service quality and client satisfaction.
  • Effectively collaborate with teams and engage with various stakeholders.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Engage in opening and closing meetings with auditees to discuss audit scopes, findings, and action plans.
  • Ensure that audit reports are clear, concise, identify root causes with practical solutions, and ultimately provide value to management.
  • Document and maintain audit work papers.
  • Regularly interact with the Reporting Manager to report the status of Internal Audit's ongoing activities, apprise the Reporting Manager of significant risks or exposures related to internal controls, compliance, and/or governance requiring prompt attention, etc.
  • Open to travel as required for audit purposes.
