Job Description:

  • As a seasoned professional, you will be instrumental in streamlining warehouse operations and logistics processes by leveraging the power of Oracle Warehouse Management System (WMS). Your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless integration and optimization of our supply chain management.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Conduct thorough analysis of current warehouse operations and gather business requirements to translate them into functional and technical specifications for Oracle WMS solutions.
  • System Configuration & Design: Design and configure Oracle WMS modules, including inbound and outbound processes, inventory management, task management, wave planning, and yard management to align with business needs.
  • Implementation & Deployment: Lead or support the full lifecycle of Oracle WMS implementations, including system setup, data migration, user acceptance testing (UAT) coordination, and post-go-live support.
  • Customization & Integration: Design and develop custom solutions, extensions, interfaces, and reports within Oracle WMS using relevant technologies to meet unique business requirements. Integrate WMS with other Oracle EBS/Cloud modules or third-party systems.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex issues within the Oracle WMS environment. Offer ongoing functional and technical support, maintenance, and continuous improvement for implemented solutions.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop test plans, create test cases, and conduct comprehensive testing to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of Oracle WMS functionalities.
  • User Training & Documentation: Develop training materials and conduct user training sessions. Create and maintain comprehensive functional and technical documentation for configurations, processes, and solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, business users, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and operational efficiency within the supply chain.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
  • Oracle WMS Expertise: Strong functional knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle Warehouse Management System (WMS) module.
  • Warehouse Operations: Deep understanding of core warehouse processes including receiving, putaway strategies, picking methodologies, packing, shipping, inventory control, and cycle counting.
  • Oracle E-Business Suite/Cloud SCM: Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) SCM modules or Oracle Cloud SCM (specifically WMS cloud).
  • SQL Skills: Proficiency in SQL for data querying, analysis, and troubleshooting within an Oracle database environment.
  • Analysis & Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills to understand complex business requirements and translate them into effective Oracle WMS solutions. Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
  • Implementation Lifecycle: Familiarity with the full lifecycle of system implementations and support.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with business users and technical teams. Ability to work collaboratively in a project-oriented environment.
