Job Overview

This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization platforms, and associated technologies.

Main Responsibilities
  • To design solutions and implement technical governance protocols.
  • To manage patch compliance, lifecycle planning, and audit readiness.
  • To mentor team members and drive root cause analysis.
  • To ensure readiness for technology migrations and hardware refreshes.
Key Areas Of ResponsibilityOperational Excellence
  • To oversee global Wintel operations in partnership with service providers.
  • To lead 24x7 BAU activities, incident response, and escalations with hands-on technical depth.
  • To govern patch compliance, performance optimization, and infrastructure hardening.
  • To review, standardize, and drive continuous improvement of operational tasks and GSOPs.
  • To design, manage, and perform DR for applications inline with Backup, Storage, and Application teams.
Project Management & Technical Delivery
  • To lead technical execution of infrastructure projects, including OS upgrades, migrations, and platform transitions.
  • To architect and implement infrastructure solutions for new business requirements.
  • To drive initiatives for virtualization, automation, capacity planning, and legacy system upgrades.
  • To ensure proper documentation and technical sign-off for infrastructure change implementations.
  • To lead technical governance of infrastructure changes, ensuring impact analysis, rollback plans, and CAB approvals.
Governance, Compliance & Audit
  • To maintain compliance with internal controls, GxP, and InfoSec policies.
  • To conduct periodic review of EOL/EOS platforms and define decommission strategies.
  • To track and resolve audit findings, document evidences, and support RCA processes.
People & Stakeholder Management
  • To mentor and develop Wintel L2/L3 team members and assess skill readiness in line with service provider.
  • To collaborate with application, security, and compliance teams for cross-functional initiatives.
Vendor & Partner Management
  • To govern SLAs, KPIs, and deliverables of infrastructure service partners.
  • To lead operational governance meetings with service provider and track performance metrics.
  • To review contract alignment, invoicing accuracy, and resource utilization.
Financials, Inventory & Risk
  • To govern asset lifecycle and Wintel server license compliance across environments.
  • To maintain an up-to-date CMDB and ensure accuracy for DR/BCP planning.
  • To highlight cost drivers, propose optimization opportunities, and assist in budget forecasting.
Innovation & Strategic Planning
  • To identify infrastructure gaps and propose innovative solutions, including automation.
  • To drive modernization of Windows platforms and transition cloud environments supported.
