About the Position

We are seeking a Biomedical Equipment Specialist to oversee the maintenance of medical devices at our facility. This role entails ensuring devices are thoroughly cleaned, electrically inspected, and repaired in order to guarantee they are safe for redeployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine disinfection and cleaning of medical devices according to established guidelines.
  • Inspect devices for functionality after patient usage.
  • Replace components and consumable parts as needed.
  • Maintain calibration logs and conduct regular QC checks.

Troubleshooting & Basic Repairs:

  • Determine control unit electronics issues and perform minor repairs.
  • Collaborate with R&D team for advanced repairs or escalations.
  • Perform software/firmware updates when required.

Device Deployment Support:

  • Responsible for device pickups and installations at hospitals/home-care centers when necessary.
  • Deploy new devices/rental devices as per requirement.
  • Provide basic usage training to nursing staff/caregivers when deploying devices.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain service logs, device usage hours, complaints, and interventions.
  • Prepare monthly reports for operations and product teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.Tech/Diploma/ITI in Electronics/Biomedical Engineering or related fields.
  • 1-3 years of experience in servicing medical equipment (e.g., infusion pumps, suction machines, ventilators, patient monitors).
  • Hands-on skills in basic electronics troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Familiarity with hospital infection control practices is beneficial.

Key Skills:

  • Technical aptitude in electronic devices/medical equipment.
  • Good communication skills for hospital coordination.
  • Ability to maintain accurate service documentation.
  • Willingness to travel locally for device pickups/deployments when necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, have hands-on experience in biomed equipment repair, and be able to work independently in fast-paced environments.
