Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Communications Professional to lead our media and strategic communications strategy.

This role involves building our public voice, positioning our founder and initiatives, and ensuring strong, consistent storytelling across media platforms.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in PR, media relations, and strategic content, capable of operating at both the strategic and execution levels while guiding agencies and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement our communications & PR strategy to enhance visibility and reputation.
  • Lead branding and spokesperson positioning for the Founder and leadership team through media outreach, thought-leadership platforms, and interviews.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers across print, broadcast, and digital media.
  • Draft and edit press releases, op-eds, speeches, quotes, and campaign narratives for spokespersons.
  • Identify and leverage awards, events, and public forums to showcase our work and leadership.
  • Manage PR agency workstreams, ensuring alignment with our communications goals.
  • Organize press events, editor roundtables, media launches, and pitch for speaking opportunities.
  • Provide communication insights to leadership and program teams.
  • Ensure aligned messaging across our initiatives, including flagship programs such as BLR Hubba.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in Communications, PR, or Media Relations.
  • Strong track record in building organizational and leadership visibility.
  • Established media network in Bengaluru and across national platforms.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Proven experience managing PR agencies, campaigns, and media events.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with diverse stakeholders.
