Market Researcher Position

We are seeking a skilled Market Researcher to join our team.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis of macroeconomic indicators, with a focus on the Indian market. This includes building econometric models to forecast future trends and risks, analyzing historical and forecasted data to identify economic trends and themes, and monitoring global economic developments and their potential impact on markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain complex econometric models to forecast market trends and risks.
  • Analyze large datasets (both historical and forecasted) to identify key market drivers and trends.
  • Monitor global economic developments and assess their potential impact on the Indian market.
  • Develop and publish in-depth research reports on market trends and drivers.
  • Work on projects that drive business growth in the Indian market, conducting secondary research as needed.
  • Provide ad-hoc research support as required.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Economics or a related field, or an MBA/CFA with relevant work experience.
  • At least 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in economic analysis or macro strategy, with a focus on modeling and research.
  • Strong quantitative and mathematical skills, with experience working with large datasets.
  • Advanced Excel, VBA analytical skills, and knowledge of econometrics. Python or R programming skills are a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise research reports.
  • Familiarity with database tools such as Macrobond, CEIC, World Bank, CME, and other financial databases.
  • Prior experience in macro research or equity research in Indian markets is a plus.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
