Job Opportunity: Mechanical Design Engineer

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled mechanical design engineer to play a key role in the development of our precision mechanical equipment. As a mechanical design engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex mechanical systems and equipment.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with customers and marketing teams to determine design requirements, plan and execute the design of precision mechanical equipment, develop and test prototypes, and work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure that design specifications are met.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with vendors and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements.
  • Collaborating with project managers to determine project requirements.
  • Conducting research to inform design and engineering methods required for mechanical systems.
  • Planning and executing mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.
  • Performing computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine designs.
  • Overseeing the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing.
  • Documenting the design process, iterations, and test analytics.
  • Liaising with designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coherence.
  • Preparing technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum one year of experience as a mechanical design engineer.
  • Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Rhino.
  • Solid knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Attentive to detail and critically minded.
  • Ability to stay abreast of advancements in technology and engineering design trends.
