Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and implementation of mechanical solutions for hyperscale data centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cooling System Design Leadership: Design innovative cooling solutions, including chilled water systems, direct expansion (DX) systems, air and liquid cooling technologies, and alternative methods.
  • Design and Optimize Cooling Infrastructure: Design and optimize cooling infrastructure for data centers to maintain desired temperature and humidity levels, ensuring efficient performance, system reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Awareness of Industry Standards: Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE, ISHRAE, Carrier Handbooks, IS Standards, Eurovent, AHRI, SMACNA, and ASME.
  • Select and Specify Cooling Equipment: Select and specify cooling equipment, components, and materials, considering energy efficiency, scalability, and system integration.
  • Thermal Load Analysis: Perform detailed thermal load analysis to assess heat generation and distribution within the data center, recommending cooling strategies that meet capacity and redundancy requirements.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate cooling solutions with other building and data center systems.
  • Project Management and Oversight: Lead the technical aspects of cooling design throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through to installation, testing, and commissioning.
