Lead AI Infrastructure Engineer

We're seeking an experienced engineer to oversee the development and maintenance of our AI infrastructure, driving productivity, innovation, and customer impact.

This role requires a highly skilled professional passionate about building an open financial system. As a key team member, you'll be instrumental in shaping how people and businesses engage with and benefit from AI in the future.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a platform for all large language model use cases, leading a team of engineers.
  • Provide technical guidance and collaborate with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps.
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using your technical expertise.
  • Foster strong relationships with Machine Learning Engineers, understanding their needs and capabilities.
  • Mentor junior engineers on software development best practices, helping them grow professionally.
  • Promote high-quality engineering standards, ensuring high availability and low latency for ML inference infrastructure.
  • Optimize streaming pipelines to provide ML models with high-quality data.
  • Advocate state-of-the-art practices for distributed training jobs and develop tools for data quality observation.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • At least 2+ years of engineering management experience.
  • Proven ability to design, build, and scale production applications, as well as lead teams of competent engineers.
  • Experience upleveling junior engineers through processes and setting high standards.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of high-quality code and software engineering processes, with a bias toward open cultural practices.
  • Deep empathy for primary customer stakeholders.
  • Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
