As a seasoned Program Director in the banking domain, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology delivery strategy for large-scale payments and transaction banking platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement large tech programs in the payments and transaction banking space, ensuring seamless execution and architecture alignment.
  • Drive technical rigor across Java-based platforms, Microservices, APIs, and integrations, guaranteeing scalability, reliability, and performance of delivered platforms.

Program Management

  • Oversee multiple-stream programs, ensuring timely completion, quality standards, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Implement robust program governance frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and regular cadence reviews to ensure successful delivery.

Team Management

  • Lead large cross-functional technology teams (developers, architects, QA, DevOps), driving performance, innovation, and a culture of engineering excellence.
  • Manage team members to achieve delivery milestones, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes knowledge sharing and growth.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with senior stakeholders on architecture reviews, technical direction, and delivery roadmaps, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Serve as the escalation point for key technology delivery issues, providing expert guidance and support.

Core Areas of Expertise

  • Proven expertise in Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, Microservices architecture, and REST APIs, with hands-on experience in delivering enterprise-scale payment systems.
  • Deep understanding of digital payments, ISO20022, SWIFT, reconciliation systems, and the ability to scale large tech teams.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of leading enterprise banking/payment system implementations and driving cloud-native transformations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 18 years of progressive experience in product engineering, platform delivery, or fintech transformation.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on or architectural exposure to Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and cloud platforms.
  • Proficient in Agile, DevOps, SAFe, and global delivery methodologies.
