Job Title: Database Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, testing, planning, protecting, and implementing databases.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relational database architecture and infrastructure, specifically MSSQL. They should also have knowledge of SSMS, SSRS, and support tooling.

Responsibilities
  • Manage locking, process blocking, and performance tuning of databases
  • Create and maintain high availability and disaster-recovery-friendly architectures
  • Manage, optimize, test, and verify backup and restoration processes
  • Develop and deploy new database objects and changes to existing database objects
  • Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support application development
Requirements
  • Advanced understanding of relational database architecture/infrastructure, specifically MSSQL
  • Knowledge of SSMS, SSRS, and support tooling
  • Knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, and day-to-day DB functions
  • Strong knowledge of systems and software development lifecycles; application integration techniques; and relational database design
  • Experience with Always On High Availability Groups is a plus
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and break down complex problems
