Database and Application Development Lead

Job Overview:

The Database and Application Development Lead is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in driving strategic direction, ensuring seamless user experiences, and implementing operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technical strategies to enhance database and application performance
  • Collaborate with product teams on resolving complex technical issues and improving overall system efficiency
  • Monitor critical issues, escalate as needed, and provide workarounds for unsupported functionality
  • Assist in refining Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to enhance service delivery and user satisfaction
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot SSIS packages, Stored Procedures, SQL Queries, Automation Processes, and SQL Jobs with an emphasis on performance optimization
  • Convert, manipulate, and prepare large volumes of data for ingestion into systems using SQL Server integration tools
  • Develop, modify, and troubleshoot reporting queries in SQL Server 2019
  • Manage and resolve data-related issues reported by customers and internal employees
  • Conduct quality and business logic checks on all data entering and exiting systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in database and application development and support
  • Proven expertise in SQL Language with a focus on high-performing databases
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting SSIS packages
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using tools like Sisense and SSRS
  • Experience with MS SQL Server
  • Knowledge of Data Modeling concepts
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
