Job Overview:

We are seeking a Data Catalogue Engineer to join our team, responsible for building and maintaining a state-of-the-art data management platform.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, with experience in working with Azure DevOps tools and technologies.

You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining data catalogs, managing metadata and lineage, enabling data governance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

To excel in this position, you should possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment, and have a passion for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain data catalogs using Collibra
  • Manage metadata and lineage across systems
  • Enable data governance through collaboration with governance teams
  • SUPPORT SELF-SERVICE AND ADOPTION THROUGH TRAINING DOCUMENTATION AND CONTINUOUS SUPPORT
  • Cross-team collaboration with data engineers, analysts, and stewards
  • Tooling and automation using scripts and workflows
  • Leverage AI tools for automation of cataloging activities
  • Maintain documentation and generate usage metrics
About You:

Your skills and experience should include:

  • Computer Science or equivalent degree
  • 5+ years of total experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in working with Azure DevOps tools and technologies
  • Good working knowledge of source control applications like git
  • Experience with data catalog platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, DataHub)
  • Understanding of metadata management and data lineage
  • Proficient in SQL and Python for automation and integration
  • Ability to connect catalog tools with data sources using APIs
  • Familiarity with cloud data services (Azure, GCP)
  • BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF DATA STEWARDSHIP CLASSIFICATION AND COMPLIANCE
