Senior Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management and administration, with expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale databases.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Performing database analysis and recommending improvements to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
  • Establishing and maintaining robust security structures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Managing and maintaining Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) clusters for high availability and performance.
  • Administering Apache Kafka clusters, including topic management, performance tuning, and security.
  • Providing database administration support for Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL systems.
  • Developing automation scripts using Shell scripting and Ansible for deployment, monitoring, and configuration management.
  • Collaborating with data engineers and developers to optimize data pipelines and ensure data integrity.
  • Implementing security best practices across all data platforms.
  • Troubleshooting issues across the data stack in a timely manner.
  • Fulfilling ongoing tasks and taking full ownership of the environment.
  • Administering database replication between servers, across Local Area Network and Wide Area Network.
  • Optimizing database objects.
  • Providing 24x7 on call support.
