Software Quality Assurance Specialist

As a highly skilled software quality assurance professional, you will be responsible for designing and developing automated tests to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software applications.
Position Overview:
In this role, you will work closely with the development and QA teams to identify project requirements, design test scenarios, and develop automation scripts using appropriate frameworks and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the development and QA teams to understand project requirements and identify test scenarios suitable for automation.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using relevant automation tools and frameworks.
- Execute automated test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of software applications.
- Identify and report defects using bug tracking tools, providing detailed information and steps to reproduce.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that changes or updates do not introduce new issues.
- Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing clear and concise information about test results and defects.
- Continuously enhance and optimize automated test suites to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Participate in test plan and test case reviews, providing feedback and suggestions for improvements.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and advancements in automation testing, and propose their adoption in projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (CS, IT, ETC) or Post Graduate Degree in Computer Applications (MCA).
- Proven experience of 4+ years as an Automation Tester or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Proficiency in automation testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Cucumber.
- Experience in designing and developing automation test scripts using scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, or JavaScript).
- Solid understanding of test automation frameworks and their implementation.
- Familiarity with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills to effectively communicate test results and issues to the development team.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
