About the role

The Risk team is at the core of our operations. They work across functions, products, and regions to monitor performance and ensure the business is safe.

We're looking for a Business Risk Manager to play a crucial role in creating a robust first line of defence for our Private Bank.

This person will develop strategies that align with operational risk frameworks and elevate our risk management procedures to the next level.

What you'll be doing

  • Identifying, assessing, documenting, and reviewing risks in our Private Bank
  • Designing, implementing, and testing controls to mitigate potential threats
  • Developing and testing key procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Creating and reviewing key risk indicators to inform decision-making
  • Registering risk events, managing and delivering risk incident reports to stakeholders

What you'll need

  • A degree from a top university with a strong academic record
  • At least 6 years of experience in operational risk management in financial services
  • Experience in private banking or wealth management (a must)
  • Proven skills in risk identification, monitoring, and controls (implementation and testing)
  • Previous examples of interpreting and organising complex data to drive insights
  • A track record of achievement, having won awards or recognition in your field
  • The ability to quickly assume responsibilities and adapt to changing circumstances
  • An organised and methodical approach to your work
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
