Student Mental Health Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide overnight mental health support on a rotational basis, ensuring seamless coverage for students.
  • Conduct in-person counseling sessions in student hostels, fostering a safe and non-judgmental space for open discussion.
  • Facilitate walk-in sessions and manage student appointments through our online portal, streamlining access to support services.
  • Undertake floor walks in hostels to build visibility, accessibility, and trust with students, promoting a sense of community.
  • Maintain timely case notes, records, and reports while upholding strict confidentiality and ethical standards, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with the team to run awareness drives, workshops, and well-being campaigns across campus, promoting emotional intelligence and self-care.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology is mandatory, equipping you with advanced knowledge and skills.
  • (1-8 years) experience or strong interest in working with youth/academic mental health is required, demonstrating your ability to adapt to diverse student needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with students in an empathetic way are necessary, building trust and rapport.
  • Flexibility with working hours, including night shifts, is expected, showcasing your commitment to delivering support when needed most.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi is required, knowledge of Bengali is a plus, reflecting your capacity for effective communication.
  • Williness to stay on campus is essential, highlighting your dedication to supporting students 24/7.
