Counselor MentorWe are seeking an accomplished Counselor Mentor to lead our student journey teams and guide ambitious students toward the world's best universities.About This RoleThis pivotal position involves shaping student journeys from initial counseling roadmaps to university acceptances. You will oversee teams of counselors, collaborate with mentors and editors, and personally support students in building distinctive profiles.You will contribute to our mission by enhancing team capabilities, elevating strategic planning, and delivering outstanding student outcomes.Main Responsibilities- Oversight and support for students throughout the entire undergraduate admissions process.
- Guidance on developing strong academic and extracurricular profiles, including research, internships, competitions, and community impact projects.
- Personalized student journeys through advising on subject selection, standardized testing, university shortlisting, and long-term academic planning.
- Detailed feedback on all application components, including personal statements, SOPs, LORs, essays, resumes, and forms.
- Complex student cases require direct mentorship, issue resolution, and high-quality outcomes.
- Mentoring a team of counselors for consistency, timely communication, and adherence to admissions timelines.
- Coordinating with internal teams—mentors, editors, and test prep specialists—to align strategy and execution for each student.
- Internal trainings, case reviews, and brainstorming sessions to strengthen team capabilities.
- Expert guidance on U.S., U.K., and Canadian admissions platforms.
- Advice on academic equivalencies, scholarship opportunities, interview preparation, and offer comparisons.
- Clear communication with students and parents, regular progress updates, and client satisfaction.
- Student milestone tracking and documentation for timely completion of deliverables and a smooth admissions process.
- Sharing insights and feedback with leadership to support operational improvements and elevate the student experience.
- Bachelor's and Master's degree in any discipline (preferably from or with experience studying in the U.S., U.K., or Canada).
- 2–4 years of experience in academic counseling, university admissions, or education advisory roles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in academic and admissions writing.
- Proven organizational and multitasking abilities, with confidence in managing multiple high-stakes student timelines.
- Empathetic, detail-oriented, and proactive—with the ability to build trust with students and families and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- A collaborative mindset; comfortable working cross-functionally with mentors, editors, and academic leads.
- Familiarity with undergraduate/postgraduate platforms is strongly preferred.
