Job Summary:

As a skilled IT Asset Lifecycle Manager, you will play a pivotal role in streamlining our organization's IT asset lifecycle using the ServiceNow platform. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and maintain the ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) modules.

Key Responsibilities:

Hardware Asset Management (HAM):

">
  • Implement and maintain the ServiceNow HAM module.">
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of hardware assets from procurement to disposal, ensuring accurate tracking and inventory management.">
  • Establish efficient workflows for asset requests, approvals, deployments, and returns.">
  • Maintain an up-to-date Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for hardware assets.">
  • Develop audit processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance.">

Software Asset Management (SAM):

">
  • Configure and maintain the ServiceNow SAM module.">
  • Track and manage software licenses, subscriptions, and usage across the organization.">
  • Ensure seamless compliance with software licensing agreements and minimize audit risks.">
  • Optimize software spending by identifying unused licenses and allocating resources efficiently.">
  • Generate comprehensive reports for stakeholders and audits.">

General Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in creating and managing dashboards, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and reporting within the IT Asset Management framework.">
  • Contribute to process design for Global Asset Management aligned with industry frameworks and best practices.">
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement asset management processes and solutions.">
  • Monitor and resolve integration issues with other IT systems.">
  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports for hardware and software assets.">
  • Provide training and support to end-users on HAM/SAM processes and tools.">
  • Stay updated on ServiceNow features and best practices for HAM and SAM.">

Qualifications:

">
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).">
">

Experience:

">
  • 5-7 years of experience in IT Asset Management.">
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow HAM and SAM processes & modules.">
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes, especially asset and configuration management.">
  • Experience with CMDB configuration and management.">

Skills and Competencies:

">
  • Proficient in scripting languages like JavaScript and other relevant languages.">
  • Ability to implement and configure SAM and HAM modules according to organizational needs.">
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external systems via REST, SOAP, JDBC, and other technologies.">
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models.">
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow administration, including workflow configuration and customizations.">
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.">
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.">
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.">

Certifications (Preferred):

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – HAM or SAM.">
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.">
