About This Role

We are seeking an exceptional Engineering Leader to drive the technical vision, architecture, and delivery of our cybersecurity platform.

This is a challenging leadership position: you'll be building and scaling a high-performing team, owning end-to-end engineering execution, and laying the foundation for product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of the engineering roadmap in alignment with business objectives
  • Building and scaling a lean engineering team, hiring and mentoring talent
  • Driving the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable software products
  • Establishment of best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, observability, and architecture
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical execution
  • Technical decision-making on architecture, tools, and platform design
  • Setting and tracking engineering KPIs for velocity, quality, and reliability
  • Ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards

First Year Success Metrics:

  • Establishing an initial engineering team of 5–7 engineers
  • Delivery of the MVP release of our cybersecurity platform and setting the roadmap for enterprise readiness
  • Establishment of secure, automated CI/CD pipelines and monitoring baselines
  • Definition and documentation of engineering best practices and architecture standards
  • Demonstration of measurable improvements in team velocity and product quality

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience
  • At least 4+ years hands-on development experience
  • At least 2–3 years in engineering management (team building, delivery)
  • Proven ability to hire, mentor, and grow engineering talent
  • Experience delivering SaaS products (cybersecurity, cloud, or compliance preferred)
  • Strong foundation in system architecture, microservices, and cloud-native design
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis, and scalable data modeling
  • Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL
  • Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) or similar cloud environments
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
