At Metso, we're seeking a highly skilled Industrial Optimization Specialist to join our Midmarket Crusher Spares product group. This role involves developing and managing the midmarket crusher spares offering to enhance product competitiveness and increase business profitability.

About the Role

This position entails consolidating different designs into one optimized solution, optimizing the manufacturing process to realize cost savings, and collaborating with the Sourcing organization to ensure timely, cost-efficient, and quality supply chain management.

Responsibilities
  1. Clean up the midmarket product offering, ensuring all technical requirements are met for external suppliers.
  2. Consolidate the product portfolio to determine the future standard offering.
  3. Maintain material change suggestions to drive cost savings.
  4. Prioritize the reduction of different product designs into one optimized design for inventory sourcing.
  5. Collaborate with sourcing & suppliers on agreed materials for cost reductions and delivery schedules utilizing initiatives.
  6. Act as a subject matter expert in identifying continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain, evaluating technical conditions and feasibility to demand improvements on quality, price, and service delivered.
  7. Support procurement in implementing and executing the midmarket spares sourcing strategy.
Requirements
  1. You should hold a B.E / B. Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
  2. Experience in Mining business and/or Aggregates business is essential.
  3. Knowledge about the manufacturing process of crushers spare is crucial.
  4. Familiarity with castings, forgings, and machining requirements is required.
  5. SAP and Autocad software skills are necessary.
  6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are a must.
  7. Strong planning and coordination skills to effectively work with multiple Suppliers and stakeholders.
  8. A high ambition for business growth is expected.
  9. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, with additional language skills being beneficial.
