Technical Leadership Role

The role of the Lead Embedded Engineer involves providing technical leadership and strategic direction to meet the objectives of the software V&V organization. This position is responsible for coordinating and collaborating across several functional teams, program management, engineering, certification, applications, and OEM customers.

This technical leader will be responsible for developing test architectures, test environments, test tools, and test methodologies for ongoing and upcoming programs. They will drive simulation, test design, and execution automation strategies to reduce test development cost and cycle time. The role also requires making technical decisions on test architecture, test methodologies, tradeoffs/decisions/constraints, and collaborating with the PI, OEMs, and certification authorities for necessary approvals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical guidance during the estimation process
  • Driving common test methodologies across programs for the objectives of DO-178B/C (DO-331/332/330)
  • Mentorng senior engineers on various types of testing

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in software development/verification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Avionics/Controllers product lines for application/platform systems/software V&V or software design
  • Hands-on experience in the development of test environments and testing tools like Vector Cast, Vector Cover, or other structural coverage tools
