Software QA Engineer - Automation Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing, test frameworks, and Agile methodologies.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality software through automated testing and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts using Python.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to understand application features and create robust, comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance tests.
  • Perform API testing and validate backend services using Python-based tools.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6–12 years of total experience in Software QA, with at least 4 years of strong hands-on automation experience in Python.
  • Strong understanding of QA processes, testing life cycle, and test methodologies.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks like PyTest, Robot Framework, Selenium (with Python).
  • Solid experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, Requests library, REST Assured).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.

Maintaining and Enhancing Automation Infrastructure:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing automation infrastructure.

Agile Environment:

Work in an Agile environment, participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
