**Cloud Engineer Leader: Azure Expertise and Cost Optimization**

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to lead our cloud financial management initiatives on the Azure platform.

This role involves shaping cloud service strategies, leading research and proof of concepts, and providing opinionated insights to influence offerings and internal best practices.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Azure, cost optimization skills, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Manage and optimize Azure subscriptions and resources to ensure cost efficiency and proper utilization.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards using Azure Cost Management data and exports.
  • Implement and manage Azure-native dashboards (Azure Advisor, budgets, cost recommendations).
  • Lead large-scale Azure migration and modernization engagements, managing end-to-end lifecycle and program governance.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Azure Financial Operations

  • Define and implement cost-management strategies through monitoring, optimization, and automation of Azure services.
  • Design and implement secure, scalable, efficient, and cost-optimized Azure solutions, balancing trade-offs across requirements, speed, cost, and reliability.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate technical merits, and align solutions with business outcomes and total cost of ownership value propositions.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

We require:

  • Proven track record in Azure financial operations and cost optimization.
  • Strong expertise across Azure services (virtual machines, blob storage, SQL databases, Kubernetes, functions, Azure OpenAI).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cost Management, Advisor, and Budgets.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell or Python scripting for automation.
