Job Title

A biomedical service technician is required to oversee the turnaround of medical devices at our facility.

About the Role

This role involves thorough inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medical devices. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronics, biomedical engineering or related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Device Turnaround & Maintenance:
  • Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of medical devices according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Inspect devices for functional issues after patient usage.
  • Replace components and consumable parts as needed.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks and maintain calibration logs.
  • Troubleshooting & Basic Repairs:
  • Diagnose electronic issues in control units and perform minor repairs.
  • Coordinate with the research and development team for advanced repairs or escalations.
  • Update software/firmware as required.
  • Device Deployment Support:
  • Responsible for device pickups and installations at hospitals/home-care centers when needed.
  • Deploy new devices/rental devices as per requirement.
  • Provide basic usage training to nursing staff/caregivers when deploying devices.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate service logs, device usage hours, complaints, and interventions.
  • Prepare monthly reports for operations and product teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma/ITI in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 1–3 years of experience in servicing medical equipment.
  • Strong hands-on skills in electronics troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
