Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance (SQA) specialist to join our team. As a key member of our QA team, you will be responsible for designing and developing system testbeds using various networking devices and servers.

You will perform quality assurance validation of 802.11 Wireless and Mist proprietary features, including end-to-end validation of client-to-cloud architecture. This involves recreating customer issues in a lab environment and collaborating with US and India engineering teams to drive resolution.

In addition, you will conduct performance testing using iPerf and work closely with the customer success team to review defect reports and enhance test coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop system testbeds using a variety of networking devices and servers.
  2. Perform QA validation of 802.11 Wireless and Mist proprietary features, including end-to-end validation of client-to-cloud architecture.
  3. Recreate customer issues in a lab environment and collaborate with US and India engineering teams to drive resolution.
  4. Conduct performance testing using iPerf.
  5. Work closely with the customer success team to review defect reports and enhance test coverage.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience as a lead engineer.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of 802.11 protocol standards, including a/b/g/n/ac/ax.
  • Hands-on experience with QA validation of enterprise-grade wireless access points.
  • Basic understanding of routing and switching concepts, including VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and trunk/native configurations.
  • Experience with validating IEEE802.1x features using Freeradius or a standard RADIUS server.
  • In-depth knowledge of various 802.11 protocols, such as 802.11r/k/v.
  • Ability to troubleshoot based on wireless packet captures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CWNA/CWSP/CWAP certification.
  • Scripting skills in Python.
  • Hands-on experience with ISE/ClearPass.
