Company DescriptionVedika Vanijya Pvt Ltd is a private limited stock broking company situated at Ganpat Bagla Road Kolkata The company was incorporated in 2007 with the vision of empowering individual investors and financial service providers by improving their financial portfolio performance through provision of efficient operating ecosystem for trading of marketable securities The company provides broking services to all of our end users by understanding their expectations and establishing of high-quality low-latency trading infrastructure across all major recognized exchanges in India for all of our clients Job Title Network Engineer Employment Type On-site Full-time JobIndustry Type IT Services ConsultingDepartment Engineering - Hardware NetworksRole Category IT NetworkAs a Network Engineer at Vedika Vanijya Pvt Ltd the applying candidate will play a crucial role in designing implementing and maintaining of network infrastructure to support our high-performance trading operations As a Network Engineer the requirements of the job will ensure that our network systems are secure reliable and optimized for low-latency trading environments For this we are looking for an experienced person having relevant prior working experience and have exposure in Stock Markets Job CriteriaKey Responsibilities Network Design and Configuration Develop and implement network architecture including LAN WAN and VLAN setups Configure and manage network devices such as routers switches firewalls and load balancers Ensure network services are optimally configured including VPNs and QoS Network Maintenance and Monitoring Perform regular network maintenance system upgrades and performance tuning Monitor network performance and availability of network servers using diagnostic and analytics tools Document network infrastructure network configuration measures and procedures for 24 7 support to trading teams Troubleshooting and Support Diagnose networks troubleshoot network clogs and resolve network issues related to hardware software or internet connectivity Provide Level - 2 or Level - 3 support for WAN and LAN networks which includes Cisco equipment and F5 load balancers Conduct disaster recovery operations to ensure network resilience and safeguard of network framework Network Security and Documentation Plan and implement network security measures in collaboration with the IT team Maintain comprehensive network documentation which includes infrastructure diagrams and runbook manuals Review and update network system plans for transparency accuracy and completeness Auditing and Compliance Regularly audit company routers switches and other related network devices to ensure compliance with standards and build logs on performance metrics Evaluate network configurations and infrastructure for network security network efficiency and compliance with overall network protocols Communication and Coordination Serve as a point of contact for exchanges to resolve network-related issues impacting trading activities Coordinate with exchange technical teams to troubleshoot and address network problems Collaborate with vendors and IT personnel to resolve complex network issues and enhance network performance Contribute to planning and executing new locations campus expansions and emerging network technologies Collaboration and Mentorship Work effectively with IT and trading teams to meet operational needs Mentor and support other team members while fostering a collaborative work environment Educational Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field Professional certifications such as CCNP Cisco Certified Network Professional are required CCIE Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert and or CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional are highly desirable Relevant Experience Proven hands-on experience with network setup and maintenance in a trading or stock market environment Extensive experience in auditing network components and troubleshooting network issues Familiarity with networking protocols e g IPSEC HSRP BGP OSPF and the OSI or TCP IP model Required Skills Deep understanding of network protocols monitoring system diagnostic and network analytics tools Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure Excellent communication and collaboration skills particularly in interacting with external partners such as Stock Exchanges Vendors or Data providers Ability to stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends Commitment to maintaining high standards of network performance security and compliance Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset HOW TO APPLY If you are a skilled Network Engineer with experience in a trading environment and are excited about enhancing network performance and resolving complex issues please fill up the Google Form
