Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled data scientist to fill this critical role.

The successful candidate will have 10+ years of experience in data science and a strong background in programming languages such as R, Python, and Quarto.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  1. Preparation
  • Ensure that target servers meet system requirements for each product (OS, CPU, RAM, disk space).
  • Verify that the servers have access to necessary repositories and allow inbound/outbound network traffic as required by each product.
Installation of Data Analytics Platforms
  • Install R, Python, and Quarto versions that will be used.
  • Configure the platform through its configuration files, setting up users, session management, resource limits, etc.
  • Start the service and ensure it runs on startup.
  • Test the installation by accessing the platform through a web browser.
Implementation of Data Integration Tools
  • Download and install the data integration tool package for your OS.
  • Edit the configuration file to set up server URL, authentication methods, email notifications, and storage options.
  • Set Up SSL certificates for secure HTTP connections.
  • Start the service and ensure it runs on startup.
  • Publish content from RStudio to confirm it is working as expected.
Maintenance and Support
  • Regularly apply updates and patches to the platforms and their dependencies.
  • Monitor license usage and renew licenses as needed.
  • Establish a support plan, either through internal teams or via external support.

This role requires a strong understanding of data science concepts, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
