We are seeking a pioneering expert in AI for Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and Responsible AI.

This role is an opportunity to join our team working directly with regulators, standards bodies, and highly regulated industries to set the benchmark for trustworthy AI.

The Role: Tech Lead – Responsible AI Engineering

As one of our earliest technical hires, you will work shoulder-to-shoulder with our Responsible AI specialists and regulatory experts, helping to translate governance and compliance principles into robust, real-world technology.

This is a foundational leadership role, combining the stability of a permanent position with the upside of equity participation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecture & Build: Define and lead the architecture of new systems, integrate open-source AI testing and assurance libraries, deliver lightweight, portable solutions in cloud environments.
  • Ai Model Testing: Build and rigorously test models against fairness, robustness, explainability, and governance principles, implement reproducible pipelines for evaluation, benchmarking, and reporting.
  • Collaboration & Growth: Partner with global Responsible AI leaders, translate complex governance and compliance requirements into practical engineering-led solutions, contribute to pilots, client delivery, and the long-term technical roadmap of our solutions.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record building, training, and evaluating AI/ML models.
  • Experience developing or integrating AI testing and assurance tools preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and modern ML/AI libraries.
  • Experience with cloud computing and knowledge of scaling, training, and deployment of AI models.
  • Awareness of Responsible AI frameworks.
  • Hands-on familiarity with explainability and fairness tools.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity, self-drive, and the ambition to grow into a senior technical leadership role.
