Provider Enrollment Specialist

The provider enrollment specialist plays a crucial role in identifying and resolving payer enrollment issues. This position is responsible for researching, resolving, and enrolling payers using various proprietary and external tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with market locations to research and resolve payer enrollment issues.
  • Contact Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), other payers via phone, email or website to resolve any Payer Enrollment issues.
  • Manage completion and submission of CMS Medicare, State Medicaid, and third-party payer applications.
  • Track and follow up to ensure provider numbers are established and linked to client groups and software systems.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting on payer enrollments in process.
  • Retain records related to completed CMS applications.
  • Establish working relationships with clients, operations, and revenue cycle management teams.
  • Obtain, track, and manage all payer revalidation dates for assigned groups/providers.
  • Update provider demographics in applicable enrollment systems.
  • Add providers to applicable systems and maintain information for claims processing.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
